The City of Fort Collins is hosting a public meeting Thursday, March 14 from 6-7 p.m. in the Community Room located at 215 N. Mason Street. The meeting will start with a brief overview of current short-term rental (STR) activity and proposed multifamily building code changes addressing short-term rentals, followed by a Q&A session and discussion.
The current STR licensing framework addresses tax collection, limitations through zoning, and basic safety assurances, but it does not incorporate Building and Fire codes specific to buildings that have three or more dwelling units and transitory use.
City Council will provide direction moving forward at the March 26, 2019 Work Session.
