The City of Fort Collins Art in Public Places Program (APP) is requesting designs for artwork to be incorporated into the City’s streetscape. Selected designs will be sandblasted into granite pavers and placed in various sidewalks around the city. The artwork will be a signature piece in Fort Collins and will be highly visible to the public. This project is in collaboration with the City’s Transportation Department, which works to provide safe pedestrian access by creating new pedestrian routes as well as improving existing areas.

Fort Collins youth age 3 to 18 may submit a black and white line drawing, depicting either a transportation theme or an aspect of life in Fort Collins. The drawing may by representational or abstract. Eligibility is open to youth that reside and/or attend school within the City of Fort Collins city limits. Submissions will be divided into three age group categories: 3-8, 9-12, and 13-18. A selection committee will select up to fifteen winners based on design suitability, form, content, scale and clarity. Selected artists will receive $50.
