Demonstration sessions will be taught by that classes’ regular instructor. The free fitness demo is open to anyone over the age of 15. Class descriptions are listed below.

P90X is a high intensity workout that combines cardio workouts, weight and resistance training, yoga, plyometric, and stretching routines. P90X will help improve your cardiovascular endurance as well as strength. The overall idea is enhance coordination, balance, and strength. This class will make you feel confident in and out of the gym.

TRX is a new and popular way to exercise using suspension straps and your body weight. All of the exercises can be done using the same suspension strap by simply adjusting it to different angles and the only weight that is needed is your own. Get a great strength workout while burning fat and gaining better balance.

CrossTrain gives you a full body workout in short intense bursts throughout the duration of the class. CrossTrain is similar CrossFit, but does not include Olympic lifts and instead adds running and stability drills to the weight exercises. Participants will use plyometric boxes, ropes, kettle bells, pull up bars, tires and more to keep the body guessing and improving. CrossTrain is a high intensity workout that will provide you with benefits from head to toe.

Vinyasa Yoga is a relaxing class that is focused on balance, flexibility, and core strength. Having strong core strength leads to a stable center of gravity which can lead to overall stronger body strength and wellness. By doing this class, it will help make your every day tasks less daunting and easier to complete.

All classes listed above are held on a weekly basis at Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow Street. For more information and class details, please refer to the Recreator, or call 970-221-6256.
