Picnic in the Park
Savor the relaxation of a day in the park with friends and family on Wednesday, August 15 while enjoying multiple activities! Get away from the daily routine and invite the older people in your lives to join you. Come by City Park, 1500 W. Mulberry St., between 11 AM and 2 PM to dine on picnic fare, play bingo, listen to music, and anticipate the surprises in store for you! All ages are welcome and the cost is a suggested donation of $3 per person. Free transportation, special diet and reserved table accommodations for groups of 6 or larger will be made upon request.

Downtown Denver
Did you ever want a day on your own to walk Denver’s 16th Street Mall? Well here’s your chance! On Friday, August 17, we will take you there to walk the mall, eat and shop, visit the Art Museum or the Mint, see the Brown Palace, or just have coffee and people watch. We will give you a map of the highlights so you won’t get lost. FYI: The mall bus transportation is constant and free. At the end of the day, we will bring you home. We’ll meet at the Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive, at 8:30 AM and return at 5 PM. This trip will cost $16 and includes transportation, a map of Denver mall area, and escort.

Historic Café: Orson Welles
Join us on Wednesday, August 22 as Gill Moon offers an insightful look at possibly the most prolific, diverse and controversial entertainment figure of the 20th Century. Orson Welles worked extensively in theater, radio and film. His broadcast of “The War of The Worlds” was the most famous in radio history. His “Citizen Kane” is considered by many critics and scholars as the best film of all time. Hear about his life and loves in his own words at the Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. This event will cost $20 and lunch will follow the presentation. Free transportation, special diet and reserved table accommodations will be made upon request.

Extended Trip: Glacier, Yellowstone & Teton National Parks
Journey with us on this 7 day/6 night excursion on Friday, August 31 to Thursday, September 6 to visit Glacier, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton National Parks! This trip includes exploring the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and the Charles Russell Museum in Great Falls. Spend one night at the historic Glacier Park Lodge built 100 years ago and ride one of the legendary Red Jammer Buses on Glacier’s Going-to-the-Sun Road. Extended Trip: Heritage of America
Follow the epic story of American democracy on this 10 day/9 night adventure through New York City, Philadelphia, Washington’s Mount Vernon and Jefferson’s Monticello, Gettysburg, Colonial Williamsburg, Shenandoah Valley, Washington, D.C., and more. Some trip highlights include: two nights in the heart of New York City, learning the traditions of the Amish, stroll through Colonial Williamsburg, experience a little of the life of George Washington by touring his estate, and enjoy the many world famous Smithsonian exhibits. We’ll leave from the Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Drive, on Friday, October 19 and return on Sunday, October 28.
