FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The intersection of Lemay Avenue and Prospect Road will operate as a flagger-controlled four-way stop on Sunday, Sept. 7 between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. while City crews install a new traffic cabinet, which controls traffic signals at the intersection. Traffic signals will be deactivated during the installation.

The work is necessary due to a crash earlier this year that severely damaged a traffic signal at the intersection. The damaged signal as already been rebuilt, and this work will complete the repairs.

Important things for the community to know:

  • All traffic must come to a stop at the intersection during the work. A flagger will be directing traffic through the intersection.
  • The work may cause significant delays; all traffic is advised to avoid the intersection.
  • While the City has specified a work period of 6 a.m. through 6 p.m., the actual work may not take the full allotted time.
