FORT COLLINS, Colo. – South College Avenue (U.S. Highway 287) will be reduced to one lane of traffic in both directions between Mulberry Street and Prospect Road from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16 due to necessary tree trimming operations. In addition to the lane reductions, no parking will be allowed on College between Mulberry and Laurel Street.

Routine pruning and tree removal are important to maintain public safety, as well as the health of the urban forest. This project is dependent on favorable conditions; changes may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

This project is strategically scheduled to avoid coinciding with traffic-driving events in the city. Drivers should follow posted signs and be prepared for slower traffic.
