Fort Collins Connexion Receives Two National Broadband Awards

Recently, Fort Collins Connexion received two national broadband industry awards for regional collaboration and individual excellence.

The first award was received by NoCo Community Fiber, which is an intergovernmental organization comprised of Fort Collins Connexion, Larimer County, Loveland Pulse, Estes Park Trailblazer and Poudre Valley REA, at the Fiber Broadband Association’s annual conference, Fiber Connect, held the first week of August. This regional team was awarded the Star Award which celebrates a person, community, or organization that has gone above and beyond what is expected in the advancement of the fiber industry. NoCo Community Fiber’s mission is to bring fiber internet to all of Larimer County through an alliance of community driven organizations. The second award was from the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA). Connexion was the recipient of NATOA’s 2023 Community Broadband Project of the Year, an award that recognizes innovative programs in government, business and local communities nationwide. Recipients will receive their awards at NATOA’s Annual Conference, to be held in Long Beach, CA from October 2 – 5.

“We are honored and humbled to receive both of these recent awards,” says Connexion Executive Director, Chad Crager. “I’m proud of the work Connexion has done over the past few years in Fort Collins, and this regional collaboration will serve the residents of Larimer County tremendously.”
