Police Investigate Homicide
On July 21, 2023, at approximately 10:09 pm, Fort Collins 911 received a call regarding a potential stabbing at 318 North College Avenue, which is a gas station. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male on the northeast side of College Avenue and Willow Street suffering from multiple stab wounds. Officers rendered medical aid to the male before an ambulance arrived on scene. The male was then transported by ambulance to an area hospital in critical condition. A short time later, at the hospital, the male was pronounced deceased.
The suspect in this incident was described as a male with a darker complexion, had a scruffy beard, is in his 40’s or 50’s and was last seen wearing jeans, a dark colored shirt, a black hat, and had a dark colored bicycle. He was last seen leaving the area eastbound on Willow Street. The investigation is in the early stages, and this is the preliminary information known at this time.
Due to the size of the crime scene, the right lane of northbound College Avenue was closed, and Willow Street was closed to the east of the gas station for investigators to process the scene.
“Our detectives and forensic services will work throughout the night and endlessly until we are able to apprehend this suspect,” said Sergeant Randy Klamser who oversees the Fort Collins Police Crimes Against Persons Unit.
