In February and June of this year, Fort Collins Police were notified by two different people of inappropriate sexual contact during massages. Both massages were done by Michael Murray (27 years of age), who was a masseuse at Massage Heights in the Front Range Village on Council Tree Avenue in Fort Collins. Fort Collins Police Crimes Against Persons Detectives took over the investigation and completed further follow up. Detectives also believe that Murray was employed at other local massage businesses.

In December, detectives presented this case to the District Attorney's Office for criminal prosecution. The following charges have been filed against Murray: Sexual Contact - no consent-force/threat, a class 4 Felony, Sexual Assault - False Medical Exam, a class 4 Felony, Sexual Contact - Fake Medical Exam, a class 4 Felony, and Sexual Contact - no consent, a class 1 Misdemeanor.

At this time police believe that there may be additional victims who were inappropriately touched by Murray during a massage. Anyone who may have been victimized or have additional information regarding these cases is asked to call Detective Julia Chenoweth at (970) 416-2645.

"These acts will not be tolerated in our community, and the courage of these victims to report these incidents is commendable," said Criminal Investigations Lieutenant Jeremy Yonce.

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement, and all parties must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. No further information will be released at this time.
