On July 5, 2021 around 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the report of a deceased man. The caller reported finding the victim under a bridge in the 4600 block of Mason Street near the South Transit Center. Due to the man’s condition, police began investigating it as a suspicious death.

On July 6, the Larimer County Coroner officially confirmed that the manner of death was homicide. The Coroner’s Office will release additional details, including the victim's identity, at a later time.

“We won't stop until we find out what happened to this man,” said FCPS Chief Jeff Swoboda. “I urge anyone who may have been traveling near that area on July 4 or 5 to contact detectives about any people or unusual activity you saw. Your tip may be our best lead.”
