Transfort to hold virtual public meeting regarding January service changes

Transfort, the transit agency owned by the City of Fort Collins, will host a virtual public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. to inform residents of proposed service changes that will begin in January 2021.

Transfort staff will also discuss system-wide Covid-19 service level updates. Residents can provide feedback at the meeting, to Transfort directly, or by taking a questionnaire at

Proposed changes include the following routes:

  • Route 33 (Foothills Shuttle) - This route and proposed changes are fully funded by an intergovernmental agreement with CSU.
    • Change route alignment to stay on the CSU Foothills Campus.
    • Connections established with West Elizabeth routes at Overland.
    • Increase frequency from 60 minutes to 15 and 20 minutes.
  • FLEX to Boulder – This route is funded through a regional partnership including multiple municipalities. Proposed changes are fully funded through a grant.
    • Proposed additional trips:
      • Weekdays - 1 additional mid-day trip to/from Boulder.
      • Saturdays – 2 new AM/PM trips added to/from Boulder. There are currently no Boulder trips on weekends.
    • HORN
      • Adjust southbound times by 2 minutes to improve on-time performance and reliability.

The proposed service changes would go into effect Jan. 18, 2021.

Members of the public can submit questions through Zoom during the meeting. The meeting is limited to 300 people. Closed captioning and Spanish will be available.
