Released on Friday, July 10, 2020
Contact Information

After a brief utility conflict delay, the City of Fort Collins Streets Department is scheduled to continue asphalt paving on Drake Road from Timberline Road to Harvard Street (just east of College Avenue) on Monday, July 13. Phasing for the project has been updated.

During paving operations, Drake Road will be closed in one direction at a time in phases to allow for resident and business access. The project has 14 to 17 working days remaining, weather permitting. The project will proceed westbound from Timberline Road to Harvard Street (Phases 1 & 3) followed by the eastbound lanes from Harvard Street to Timberline Road (Phases 4 & 5).

Phase 1 will be westbound from Timberline Road to Lemay Avenue. Westbound lanes closed.

Phase 2 Asphalt patching will occur throughout the project with both directions open.

Phase 3 will be westbound from Lemay Avenue to Harvard Street. Westbound lanes closed.

Phase 4 will be eastbound from Harvard Street to Lemay Avenue. Eastbound lanes closed.

Phase 5 will be eastbound from Lemay Avenue to Timberline Road. Eastbound lanes closed. Phase 5 will complete the project and is subject to potential delay depending on when the utility conflict is able to be resolved.

Drivers should keep the project in mind when planning routes and are reminded to use caution in work zones. Please review the digital message boards for date changes or closure patterns.

This work will be completed as part of the Street Maintenance Program. A map showing updated project phasing is attached to this press release.

COVID-19: Work crews are aware of social distancing requirements. Every effort will be made to ensure workers are maintaining a safe distance and following proper hygiene. Sick employees will not be allowed to work.
