Blossoms and Butterflies Art Auction & Party - June 5-8

FORT COLLINS - In celebration of the transformation underway at Fort Collins’ community botanic garden, the Friends of the Gardens on Spring Creek present the 2nd annual Blossoms and Butterflies Art Auction & Party, June 5 through June 8, at the Carnegie Center for Creativity, 200 Mathews.
This fundraising event will showcase an exhibit featuring over 50 Colorado artists and over 100 pieces of juried artwork. All mediums depict the beauty of butterflies and/or gardens. Each piece of artwork is up for bid with its proceeds directly purchasing plants and butterflies for the new Butterfly House coming this fall to the Gardens on Spring Creek.
The culmination of the exhibit will be a ticketed Party on Saturday, June 8 from 6-9 p.m. Final viewing and bidding, hors d’oeuvres, libations, and live music will treat guests. Tickets are $100 per person and are available now.
Hours for viewing the show in person and bidding include noon-6 p.m. June 5-7, and 6-9 p.m. on June 7 for First Friday Art Walk. The auction will be open 24 hours a day online at fcgov.com/gardens beginning June 1 with bidding available through 8 p.m. June 8.

About the Gardens on Spring Creek: The Gardens on Spring Creek is the community botanic garden of Fort Collins, Colorado. The 18-acre site opened in May 2004 as part of a vital public/private partnership between the city of Fort Collins and the Friends of the Gardens on Spring Creek. The Gardens are currently under major construction, which includes a five-acre garden expansion, a renovated Visitor’s Center, and a new Butterfly House. Grand re-opening is scheduled for late 2019.
