FORT COLLINS –April 25, 2019 - It's time to get the garden growing! The Gardens on Spring Creek, 2145 Centre Avenue, presents its Spring Plant Sale on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is offered - rain or shine - in partnership with Horticulture Departments from Colorado State University (CSU) and Front Range Community College (FRCC). Admission is free.
For the first time, the Spring Plant Sale will be hosted along the pathways of the new Great Lawn space. Guests are highly encouraged to bring a wagon, cart, or carrying boxes to transport their plants home. The distance for walking is much greater than in the past so please wear comfortable shoes.
Hundreds of varieties of perennials, annuals, vegetable seedlings, herbs, native plants, and hanging baskets will be offered for sale. Master gardener experts will be present to answer your gardening questions. All plants are grown by the staff and volunteers of the Gardens on Spring Creek, and horticulture students of CSU and FRCC.
A complete list of available plants for sale is available online. Proceeds of the sale support horticulture programs at each participating organization. No bikes or dogs are allowed within The Gardens. For more information and to access the plant list or map, please visit fcgov.com/gardens.

About the Gardens on Spring Creek
The Gardens on Spring Creek is the community botanic garden of Fort Collins, Colorado. The 18-acre site opened in May 2004 as part of a vital public/private partnership between the city of Fort Collins and the Friends of the Gardens on Spring Creek. The Gardens are currently under major construction, which includes a five-acre garden expansion, a renovated Visitor’s Center, and a new Butterfly House. Grand re-opening is scheduled for late 2019. In 2018, The Gardens hosted 82,000 visitors. Learn more about the botanical gardens at fcgov.com/gardens
