Police Investigate Fatal Single Vehicle Collision

At 2:05 a.m. on March 30, 2019, Fort Collins Police responded to the report of a single vehicle collision near the intersection of South College Avenue and Victoria Drive.

Through the course of their investigation, officers determined that a 22-year-old male driving a 2008 Toyota Tacoma was traveling south on South College Avenue and went off the east side of the road near Victoria Drive, colliding with the guard rail. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Larimer County Coroner will release the man’s identity at a later time. Officers are investigating whether speed, drugs, or alcohol are factors in the collision.

Members of the Fort Collins Police Services CRASH (Collision Reconstruction and Scene Handling) Team responded to investigate. The intersection and surrounding roadways were closed for approximately six hours while officers processed the scene.
