Downtown Parking Structures To Use New Payment Technology Beginning Jan. 2
The City of Fort Collins’ Old Town and Civic Center parking structures will have updated technology beginning January 2, 2019. These additions will provide patrons with a more cohesive, easier and predictable experience when parking downtown.
For permit parking, patrons must update permit information with Parking Services by visiting fcgov.com/parking/permits. Once your information has been updated, your license plate will serve as your permit and you may come and go as you please.
For hourly parking, patrons must pre-pay for the time expected to be in the parking structure. You may pay via pay stations in the structure or by using the FC Parking app. Both methods can provide a warning when your time is almost expired, and you can extend your stay by text message (with debit/credit card use at the pay stations) or with the FC Parking App.
The FC Parking app, available on the iPhone App Store and Google Play Store, shows availability of parking spaces and allows the user to pay for parking directly through the app. After downloading the app and creating an account, you may start a parking session and track payments, manage multiple vehicles, and receive reminders when your parking session is low.
