Recreation Department’s October Event Calendar

The City of Fort Collins Recreation Department is your community resource for staying active and connected in the Fort Collins community. Recreation offers programs and activities for all abilities. In addition to traditional programming, Recreation will host several unique events throughout October. A listing of special events taking place in this month is below. Line Dance Extravaganza
Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
Location: Senior Center, 1200 Raintree Dr.
Kick up your boots at the annual Line Dance Extravaganza. Learn some new moves and practice some old ones with Judy Yamakishi, Machelle C. Holloway, and Vera Karasik. For more information and to register, visit

Hogwarts Halloween
Friday, October 19 and Saturday, October 20 from 6-9 p.m.
Location: Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow St.
Witches, wizards, and muggles explore the haunted halls of Hogwarts, practice casting spells, create potions, eat chocolate frogs, and play Quidditch. For more information visit,

Saturday, October 27 from 6-8 p.m.
Sunday, October 28 from 1-3 p.m. and 5-6:30 p.m.
Location: The Farm, 600 Sherwood St.
Children ages ten years and under will trick-or-treat, go on hayrides, and visit the pumpkin patch during this not-so-spooky Halloween event. Tickets go on sale October 3 at The Farm, Northside Aztlan Community Center, Edora Pool Ice Center, and Foothills Activity Center. For more information, visit

Bow Wowvania
Saturday, October 27 from noon-1 p.m.
Location: The Farm, 600 Sherwood St.
Dogs dress up in their best costumes and bring their owners to trick-or-treat for bones and cookies. Tickets are available starting October 3 at The Farm and Northside Aztlan Community Center. For more information, visit
