Suspect Arrested for Animal Cruelty

A Fort Collins man has been arrested for killing an animal in his home.
On August 29, 2018, Fort Collins Police responded to a report of animal cruelty in a residence. Police contacted Bryan Hackleman (DOB 03/25/94) at his home on Stanford Road. Through the course of the investigation, officers located a deceased cat with injuries consistent with abuse. Hackleman was arrested for animal cruelty and booked into the Larimer County Jail. A booking photo is not available at this time. Police are partnering with Larimer Humane Society's Animal Protection and Control Department to investigate this incident.
FCPS is currently investigating several reports of missing animals in the area surrounding the suspect's home. All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and any arrested party must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
