Details for the 2018 Fort Collins Fourth of July Community celebration have been announced. Blue Ocean Foundation will once again sponsor the City’s annual 4th of July community celebration. The Blue Ocean Foundation sponsorship will help fund popular community events like the 4th of July parade and fireworks celebration at City Park. The Blue Ocean Foundation has been a sponsor of the community celebration since 2014.

The community celebration will once again feature a parade in the morning followed by music and fireworks in the afternoon and evening at City Park. The 4th of July Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. on the 4th of July. The parade will take place on Mountain Avenue between Meldrum and Jackson. This year the parade direction will change and travel westbound on Mountain Avenue. The parade route change was made to better accommodate the 5K race at City Park.

Later in the afternoon starting at 4:15 p.m., City Park will feature live music from the local bands and the Fort Collins Symphony. New this year will be the presence of food trucks in City Park during the celebration. A fireworks celebration is scheduled to begin at 9:35 p.m. (weather permitting). Fireworks will be displayed over Sheldon Lake.
