Police Investigate Motor Vehicle Collision

On October 23, 2017 at approximately 12:15 p.m., Fort Collins Police were notified of an injury collision in the 600 block of South Taft Hill Road.
A motorized scooter driven by Raymond Duvall, 48, stopped in the northbound lane and was waiting to turn left into a residential driveway. A Dodge Caravan driven by Warren Ward, 89, was traveling north and failed to stop, causing the vehicle to collide with the back of the scooter. Duvall was not wearing a helmet and sustained serious injuries. He was transported to Medical Center of the Rockies. Ward was not injured.
South Taft Hill Road was closed for approximately 3 hours while the Fort Collins Police CRASH Team investigated the incident. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
