At 9:07am, Fort Collins Police received a report of shots fired from a vehicle in the area of Timberline and Custer. The caller described the occupants, vehicle, and general direction of travel. Officers quickly located the vehicle outside of Fort Collins High School and detained the occupants. Police notified Poudre School District immediately, and FCHS was locked down as a precautionary measure. There were no injuries reported. The disturbance appears to have been unrelated to the school, and there is no threat to the public.
One juvenile occupant of the vehicle was arrested on charges of Felony menacing (class 5 felony), Possession of a firearm by juvenile (class 2 misdemeanor), Unlawful carrying weapon on school grounds (class 6 felony), Reckless endangerment (class 3 misdemeanor), and Possession of a defaced firearm (class 1 misdemeanor).

All charges are simply an accusation by law enforcement officers, and all arrested parties must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
