[UPDATED 8.4.17] Police Investigate Homicide at Riva Ridge Place

The Larimer County Coroner has identified the Riva Ridge Place homicide victim as William Grabusky, 65, of Fort Collins. On August 3, detectives located Mr. Grabusky’s missing vehicle unoccupied in Fort Collins based on a citizen tip. On August 2 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a family member of William Grabusky, 65, contacted Fort Collins Police to request a welfare check as she had not been able to reach him for several weeks.
When officers checked his residence in the 3400 block of Riva Ridge Place, they found a deceased person in the home. The decedent's identity has not been determined. The Larimer County Coroner performed an autopsy on August 3 to determine cause and manner of death. The Coroner's Office is still working to identify the decedent and will release the name once that information has been determined and the family is notified.
Due to several suspicious factors in the case, Fort Collins Police are investigating this death as a homicide. Detectives have been unable to locate Grabusky’s vehicle, a gray 2016 Hyundai Elantra, Colorado license plate QRM176. If the vehicle is seen, please report to police immediately. As a safety precaution, do not attempt to make contact with the vehicle’s occupant(s).
