FORT COLLINS, CO – Emergency repair of a leaking water main underneath the intersection of Harmony and Timberline roads will result in significant lane closures and travel delays Tuesday, July 11 beginning at 7 p.m. The intersection will maintain at least one lane open in all directions while repairing the leak.
The Fort Collins Loveland Water District worked today to determine the extent and location of the leak, which is causing road damage and basement flooding of a nearby business. Repair work will begin Tuesday evening, and crews will work overnight in the intersection. Extensive lane closures (especially westbound, northbound, and southbound left turns) may continue through the Wednesday morning rush hour, so alternate routes are advised.
The goal is to re-open all travel lanes using steel plates over the work area during the day Wednesday and for the evening rush hour. Lane closures will resume Wednesday at 7 p.m. while repair work is completed overnight. All work should be complete and all lanes re-opened early Thursday morning.
Timberline and Harmony is one of the busiest intersections in Fort Collins. Crews are working at night and as quickly as possible to minimize impact on the traveling public. Alternate routes are strongly advised, and the public’s patience is appreciated.
