Interment Options#

Full Earth Burial With Casket & Vault
Single A single grave can be purchased for the interment of one casket.
Double Depth (purchase or conversion) A double depth grave allows for the interment of two caskets one on top of the other. This burial option has to be chosen prior to the first interment because the grave is dug 8' deep for the first burial. There are no double depth interments available at Roselawn Cemetery.
Side by Side This option is two or more single graves located side by side. Each grave is for the interment of one casket.

Above Ground Entombment (Mausoleum)
Single Crypt This crypt choice holds one casket. The crypt is sealed after the entombment. The shutter engraving is included in the purchase price. A vault is not needed for entombment. (Also refer to Additional Cremains in Single Crypt.)
Companion Crypt This crypt option holds two caskets. They are placed end to end. The crypt is sealed after the entombment. The shutter engraving is included in the purchase price. A vault is not needed for entombment.

At this time crypts are only available at Grandview, since there are no mausoleums located at Roselawn.

Cremated Remains Earth Interments
Cremains Space A cremation grave in Section 11 at Grandview and Garden of Good Shepherd at Roselawn can be purchased for one interment with the option to purchase rights of interment for additional cremains on that space (up to six cremated remains). There is a fee for additional cremated remains on an existing space. Only one monument is allowed for each cremains space so care needs to be taken in planning interments.
There are also cremains spaces located in Section T at Grandview designed for the interment of only one cremated remains per space. Only one monument is allowed for each cremains space, so care needs to be taken in planning interments.
Adult Single Space A single adult grave can be purchased and used for burial of cremated remains. The rights allow for one interment with the option to purchase additional rights of interment up to 30 cremains on one space. There is a fee for additional cremated remains on an existing space.
Additional Cremains on Existing Grave Cremated remains may be added to an existing grave. There is a fee for additional cremated remains on an existing space. One main marker can be placed, but only one secondary marker is allowed per grave and is limited to 2' x 1' and set flush in the ground.
Rock Garden In this natural setting, families may plan interment of cremated remains in specialized rock inspired memorials, or the memorials can be used as remembrances, without cremains interments. Up to two cremains may be interred in one rock garden space. Sales tax collection is required on the rock monument and bronze plaque at the current sales tax rate.

There is an opening and closing fee each time there is a burial, inurnment or entombment.

Above Ground Inurnment (Columbarium)
Niche We have several selections of niches. There are niches located on a wall or in a smaller, free-standing columbarium. The niches are sealed when the inurnment is completed and the granite shutter is replaced. The engraving of the shutter is included in the purchase price.
Additional Cremains in Single Crypt The rights of inurnment for additional cremains to be placed in a single crypt may be purchased. The ashes must be placed in the casket at the time casket is entombed. A crypt may not be opened to have only additional ashes entombed.

Green Burials - Only at Roselawn Cemetery, Garden of Harmony
Green Bruial Space Grave spaces set aside for the specific interment of remains following the standards set by the Green Burial Council. Some of the standards include, no embalming, no vaults, and only biodegradable caskets or shrouds allowed.

Memory Gardens and Ossuary
The Memory Wall consists of six granite panels that allow for engraving the name and dates of loved ones passed on. The person does not have to be buried at Grandview to have their name placed on the wall. As part of the fee for engraving vital information, the individual will be added to the cemetery database. The ossuary is a vault where cremated remains can be co-mingled in an enclosed structure. Arrangements can be made to purchase engraving on the granite panels only; or both engraving on the panels and the interment in the ossuary.
