Grandview Avenue Valve Replacements#
The 1920s lines and valves were replaced in three phases, completing a project that was ongoing since 2008.
Finishing this project enhanced water service reliability and safety in the area and coincided with Laporte Avenue repaving that was completed later in the summer.

These custom-built water valves from the 1920s were removed and new valves were installed during this project.
Water rehabilitation work was completed in three phases over the summer of 2014.
Phase 1: Taft Hill Waterline Replacement.
Phase 2: Pipeline Replacement at Grandview Avenue.
Phase 3: Major Valve Replacements at the intersection of Laporte and Grandview Avenue.
