About Us#

The City’s Community Mediation Program was founded in late 1997 as a grant-funded project and became a fully funded City program in 2000 as part of the Neighborhood Resources Department (now known as Neighborhood Services).  Our overall philosophy is to manage the mediation process in a non-directive way which allows people to create their own solutions.  This process encourages positive neighborhood relationships and enhances neighborhood safety and well-being.

Our program adheres to federal and state professional guidelines for mediators.  We are member of Mediation Association of Colorado (MAC) and National Association for Community Mediation (NAFCM).
