Posted on: Apr-04-2013
Beginning Mon., April 8, Fort Collins Utilities and Parks and Recreation will remove fallen trees and other debris along the Poudre River to prevent flooding and increase safety.During high river flows, the fallen trees and debris can wash downstream and damage bridges or cause increased flooding. Trees that are firmly anchored in the river bank will not be removed, as they provide a beneficial habitat.
