Fort Collins Police Investigate Robbery

Fort Collins Police Services is investigating a report of a Robbery which was received this morning at 7:26 am.

A female victim reported she was in the 2200 block of Orchard Place in Fort Collins when she was confronted by a male suspect who brandished a small knife or some other type of instrument and demanded her purse. The victim stated this incident occurred in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the area. The victim reported that the suspect took her purse after a brief struggle. The suspect is reported to have run from the area in an unknown direction of travel.

The victim was transported from the scene and suffered superficial injuries from the incident.

The suspect in this incident is described as a Hispanic male who is approximately 5’ 7” in height with a stocky build, black hair, and brown eyes. The suspect was reported to be wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and brown or green sweat pants.

Fort Collins Police Services would like to request assistance from anyone who was in the area and observed this incident. Anyone in the area between 7:00 am and 7:30 am that noticed anything suspicious or that may be related to this case is encouraged to call Detective Kyle Bendzsa at 970-221-6577 or Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868.
