The Rocky Mountain Innovation Initiative (RMII) offers a framework of support and incubation for new and promising startups. RMII was the original virtual Fort Collins Technology Incubator created a dozen years ago by the City of Fort Collins. Over time it has accelerated the success of dozens of startups and enabled hundreds of entrepreneurs to transfer cutting-edge technology into flourishing businesses.
Renamed RMII in October 2007, the incubator now occupies 10,000 square feet of below-market rental office space and nurtures nine clients. Just last year, these companies created 55 jobs at an average yearly salary of $71,000 and earned more than $7 million in equity and grant capital.
