Our youth and adult sports programs benefit thousands of community members per year. A wide variety of opportunities for all ages are available through Recreation's Sports programs. Adults can get active and stay healthy by participating in sports like softball, volleyball, basketball and flag football. Kids can benefit from exercise and learn important social values by participating in sports such as basketball, football, wrestling, cross country, volleyball, and track. Our diverse offerings, dedicated staff and excellent content make sports a valuable community resource.

Flag Football

Summer Adult Flag Football
Date: June 8
Location: Rolland Moore Park
Leagues are 8-on-8 non-contact. Registration begins 5/4, ends 5/26 or when leagues fill. 8 games guaranteed. Register here


Spotlight image: Basketball

Summer Adult Basketball
Date: June 2
Teams sign up for their level/playing preference on a first come first serve basis. Registration begins May 4, ends May 26. Rosters are unlimited. Games are played at Northside Aztlan Center. Register for competitve and recreational teams here

Summer Youth Basketball
Date: June 5
Teams formed by grade, gender, and park practice location. Season consists of 1-2 practices outside, 6 games on indoor courts, and an end of season tournament. Showdown Softball Tournament
June 3
Register for competitive and recreational: Men's teams here or coed teams here.
Registration begins May 2, ends May 26 or when divisions fill; 2 games guarenteed. Games are played at Rolland Moore Park and other community parks if needed.

Coed Tee Ball
Date: June 5-July 15
Age: 5-6
Designed to develop skills, sportsmanship, and coordination. Teams practice is 30 minutes before each game, once per week. Based on 2016-2017 current school year grade level. Registration deadline is May 19. Team shirt included

Spotlight image: Lacrosse

Date: Monday-Friday, July 17-21 (9 a.m.-Noon)
Location: Cottonwood Glen Park
Age: 6-12

Learn the fundamentals of stick handling, cradling, passing, and shooting in a fun, non-checking enviroment. Campers also learn to respect, teamwork, and discipline. Skyhawks ensures athletes gain a deep understanding of the game and its traditions.
