Fort Collins is one of the best places in the nation when it comes to well-being, according to a new Gallup and Healthways survey.
Fort Collins ranked No. 3 on the list, behind Boulder and Provo-Orem, Utah, with a well-being index score of 71.1 out of 100. The rankings, released March 25, are based on a 2012-2013 survey of 189 communities across the United States.
More than 178,000 people were interviewed for the index scores, which take into account physical and emotional health, work environment, financial security, healthy behaviors and access to basic necessities such as shelter and food.
This is the sixth year that Gallup released the rankings. To view the full report visit http://www.gallup.com/poll/167984/provo-orem-utah-leads-communities.aspx
