The City of Fort Collins Neighborhood Services will host two homeowner association (HOA) classes on Thursday, October 17, 2013. Both classes are free and held in the Community Room at Police Services, 2221 Timberline Road.
The first class, "Annual Meeting Issues-Including Adopting the Budget," will run 6-7:30 p.m. Attendees will learn about the CCIOA budget process, required for communities created after July 1, 1992.
The second seminar, "Effectively Running Your Community," will run 7:30–9 p.m. The class will cover duties and obligations of a board member, as imposed by the association’s governing documents and Colorado law. Roles of the manager and board will also be explored and contrasted. This session is a make-up class from September 12, rescheduled due to weather.
