Healthy Homes Program Seeks Master Home Educators for April Training

The City’s Healthy Homes program seeks individuals to help Fort Collins families with assessing indoor air quality problems and improving home environments.

Training for the Healthy Homes program will be from 5:30-8 p.m. April 3, 5, 10 and 12. Participants will also meet for one Saturday session - 8:30 a.m. to noon on April 15.

The Healthy Homes program is aimed at helping Fort Collins families improve the indoor air quality of their homes. Master Home Educators provide low-cost or no-cost solutions to make homes healthier. The training addresses biological pollutants, chemical contaminants and safety hazards in the home. Participants completing the 20-hour training program receive designation as a Master Home Educator.

To participate in the program, prospective Master Home Educators must:

  • Complete an application
  • Participate in an interview selection process
  • Attend 20 hours of training
  • Complete 20 hours of community service as a Master Home Educator
