Motorists traveling in Fort Collins will now be able to use all six lanes of Harmony Road as well as on-street bike lanes and sidewalks for travel. Thanks to extensive planning, diligent work by the crews and cooperative weather, the closure will end as scheduled Tuesday, June 4 at 9 p.m.
Harmony Road has been fully closed between McMurry Avenue and Timberline Road as Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) crews completed the track maintenance work needed to meet federal railroad compliance regulations. Previous work included the installation and testing of the new railroad crossing signal system. During the recent closure, UPRR installed new cross ties and rails then City crews finished paving and striping the road. City crews worked Friday and Monday nights while UPRR crews worked on the weekend to minimize closure time.
Thank you for your patience during all phases of the Harmony Road project.
