Tough Plants for Tough Places Tour with Lauren Springer Ogden

Spend a couple of hours at the popular 300-foot-long hell strip along the south side of the Gardens on Spring Creek with its designer and caretaker, Lauren Springer Ogden. Walk with Lauren and learn about tough yet beautiful plants that are long-lived, long-blooming, low-water and low-maintenance. You will also learn how to combine them to make the most difficult spots in your landscape immensely rewarding.

Limited spots available for the tour. Sunday's tour is a repeat of Saturday's tour.

Please park in GOSC lot, and proceed to the corner of Centre Avenue and Perennial Drive on the southeast corner of the Gardens, the class will be held along the planting at the corner that heads west along Perennial Drive.

For the first time, the Gardens on Spring Creek is offering a new series of classes to teach and inspire the urban homesteader in you. Make the most of your backyard, garden, and home!

Classes are located at Gardens on Spring Creek, 2145 Centre Avenue.

Herbal Remedies from Common Plants

Dream up or use what you have already growing in your garden to enhance your health and overall well-being. This class will instruct on how to grow and harvest medicinal plants, and then it will teach the tools to utilize these herbal powerhou ses in your everyday life.

Introduction to Backyard Chickens

Have you considered getting chickens, but don't know where to start? Learn from a veteran chicken keeper, Connie Meyer of Urban Overalls. This class will give you all the ins and outs of keeping chickens within the City of Fort Collins.

Bees are all the buzz! Play a role in protecting and offering a habitat for these important pollinators by learning how to start and keep bees within City of Fort Collins.
