Full Closure of Shields Street between Mulberry Street and Mountain Avenue, July 6-Aug. 19

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Utilities crews have started construction to replace the sanitary sewer line along Shields Street between Mulberry and Olive streets and stormwater improvements at the intersection of Magnolia and Shields streets.

A full road closure will be in effect on Shields Street from Mulberry to Mountain from Tuesday, July 6, through Monday, August 19. Detour routes will be clearly marked.

Two-way traffic will be maintained before and after the full closure. The work will impact all Shields traffic and directional lane closures may be implemented. Pedestrian access in the area will be maintained throughout the project.

During the project, you can expect heavy machinery, equipment, construction-related traffic and stockpiles of materials. Crews typically work Monday-Friday, 7 a.m.- 4 p.m.
