EnvirOvation Recognizes Environmental Leadership of ClimateWise Business Partners, May 14

Join the City of Fort Collins’ EnvirOvation—A ClimateWise Celebration to recognize the environmental stewardship of more than 360 local businesses and organizations, Wed.,
May 14, 2-5 p.m., Hilton Fort Collins, 425 W. Prospect Rd.

Visit with local business and City representatives, 2-3 p.m., Business Exhibitor Showcase, followed by the EnvirOvation ceremony, 3-5 p.m. Complimentary food and beverages provided. The City of Fort Collins’ Mayor Pro Tem Gerry Horak and City Manager Darin Atteberry invite the community to discover how these organizations are transforming their operations and contributing to our environmental and economic sustainability. Business partners will be acknowledged for their successes and contributions, all of which have direct, positive impacts on Fort Collins.

ClimateWise partners continue to make reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. During 2013, they also implemented over 1,200 conservation projects and saved $15 million. Since its inception, ClimateWise partners have saved 1.2 million metric tons of carbon dioxide, equivalent through transportation, energy and water saving measures as well as diverting waste from the landfill.
