Posted on: Jul-26-2013

The City of Fort Collins ClimateWise program is hosting its third quarter ClimateWise Orientation Friday, August 2 8:30-9:30 a.m., Community Room, 215 N. Mason Street.

Fort Collins businesses and ClimateWise business partners are invited to attend this free event and learn about the ClimateWise program and how their business can save money and reduce carbon emissions.

Recognized as a "Top 50 Innovative Government Program" by Harvard University, ClimateWise is a free voluntary program sponsored by the City of Fort Collins. More than 340 business partners participate through waste and transportation reductions and energy and water conservation. In turn, ClimateWise provides free public recognition, peer-to-peer networking, tools and ongoing educational support.

Since 2000, ClimateWise business partners, ranging from large to small organizations, have achieved a cumulative savings of $73 million and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 163,000 metric tons.
