Commercial Efficiency Funding Increase Passed by City Council; Project Approvals Resume
Fort Collins Utilities' Efficiency Works-Business program is resuming approval of rebate applications, thanks to an additional $1.46 million in funding that was approved by City Council, July 19.
The additional funding allows local businesses to continue investing in efficiency improvements, while maintaining momentum toward the City's Energy Policy and Climate Action Plan (CAP) goals.
"Efficiency is 50 percent of the 2020 CAP goal," said John Phelan, Utilities' Energy Services Manager. "The fact that customers are willing to match $3-5 for every $1 incentive speaks volumes about our community's commitment to managing energy use."
Beginning immediately, rebate applications will be approved per the current program rules.
