One-day Opportunities

Club 45
January 20, February 17 and/or March 24, 5:15-9 p.m.
Help run a kids night out program at Foothills Activity Center. Volunteers supervise and play with kids in 4th & 5th grades. Multiple rooms are set up with arts & crafts, karaoke, video games, gym play, group games, and minute to win it type chanllenges just to name a few. Adaptive Recreation Opportunities Movie Night

Thursday, January 18, 5:45-10:00 p.m.
Enjoy a movie with ARO participants and leaders. Volunteers may need to assist participants in ordering and paying for their food at the concession stand. Master Home Educator
Master Home Educators are a fundemental and vital element of our Healthy Homes program. Prospective Master Home Educators will complete 20 hours of comprehensive training on the home as a system, and learn how to idenitfy common problems, the health implications of these problems, and how to fix them. the topics covered in the Healthy Homes training incudes: biological pollutants, chemical contaminants, and safety concerns. Eagle Watch
Bald eagles from the north make Fort Collins their winter home. Volunteer Master Naturalists are stationed near the viewing pier at Fossil Creek Reservoir and explain the eagles' natural history and help visitors view them through spotting scopes and bionoculars.

Recycle Your Christmas Tree
The City of Fort Collins' annual free Christmas tree recycling program runs through January 15. Collected trees will be chipped on site and processed into wood mulch for residential use. There are free options before the January 15, but after you will be charged a fee.

I am in need of volunteers for a new program we are running for kids in 4 & 5th grades called Club 45.

It is a kids night out program that happens one Saturday  a month at the Foothills Activity Center.


We have been getting by with staff and interns, but I think it is time to start recruiting for volunteers.


This would be an appropriate volunteer opportunity for High School kids, (I have already reached out to Poudre and Fort Collins) as well as

CSU Students.

Do you have contacts for the other High Schools and CSU?

The next date is Saturday 12/16 from 6-9pm. We ask volunteers to arrive at 5:15 for a quick orientation.


Volunteers would supervise and play with the kids. We have multiple rooms set up with arts & crafts, karaoke, video games, gym play, group games and minute to win it type challenges to name a few.


This program will continue through the school year.
