Safe Walking and Bicycling at Bennett IB World School

The City and Bicycle Colorado held bicycle and pedestrian education classes at Bennett IB World School in November 2009. Every single student, as well as P.E. teacher, Matt Bray, completed the classes and became a safer walker or biker. Kids were taught the rules of the road (always stop at a stop sign!), how to properly fit a bicycle helmet, and got lots of practice riding the bike rodeo course to test their knowledge.

The classes were funded by a grant from the Colorado Department of Transportation Safe Routes to School program and sponsored by the City's Safe Routes to School program.
