The Aquatics program provides all ages with the opportunity to learn how to swim and learn about safety involved with being around water. Ages 6 months and up, can participate in our swim lesson program taught by swim instructors throughout the year at various pool locations. You may choose from a variety of classes for beginners to advanced swimmers, including parent participation classes, preschool and level classes, springboard diving, training for lifeguards, water safety instructors as well as private swim lessons to fit your needs.

Adult Learn To Swim

Adult Learn To Swim

Learning the Basics
 Mondays & Wednesdays, January 15-February 14  l  6:15-7 p.m.
Location: EPIC
Age: 15+ years
Learn basic aquatic skills and swimming strokes in this introductory swim class.

Improving Skills & Strokes

Date: Sundays, February 25-March 25  l  4:40-5:25 p.m.
Location: Senior Center
Age: 15+ years
Cost: $30
Improve proficiency in basic aquatic skills and the six basic swimming strokes. NOTE: Must be comfortable in chest-deep water and perform strokes that can be recognized as front crawl, and backcrawl each for 15 yards.

Youth Learn To Swim

Youth Learn To Swim

Baby and Me I
6-18 months
Parents help to introduce infants to the water while learning how to work with their child safely in the water. 

Baby and Me II
18 months - 3.5 years
Parents build on introducing their children to the water using songs, encouraging confidence, and comfort in the pool. Basic water activities will be introduced. 

 3-6 years
Desiged for the child who is still new to the water, does not put their face under water, but can hold on to the side of the pool independently. 

 3-6 years
Children who will put their face in the water, fully submerge, perform supported front and back floats without apprehension, and will explore the water freely without fear.

Age: 3-6 years
Designed for the child who can front float with their face in the water without support, can back float for five seconds without support, and can submerge and pick up objects in shallow water.
