Library Park Under Construction Starting mid-December

The playground at Library Park will be renovated as part of the Parks Department's Life Cycle Program. The playground will be expanded, including new equipment as well as poured in surfacing. Construction will take place in two phases, expansion of the western side of the playground and then demolition/installation of new equipment. During all construction phases, the playground will be closed. Work is anticipated to complete in spring 2020.

The goals of the Life Cycle Program are to:

  • Replace or restore components to substantially the same original condition, purpose and efficiency.
  • Bring new components up to current codes and guidelines.
