Free De-escalation Training Webinar & Video Learnings Available for Fort Collins Businesses

FORT COLLINS, CO – The City of Fort Collins Economic Health Office is hosting a free de-escalation training for businesses and front-line staff in response to COVID-19 modifications on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. The training will include a moderated panel featuring four local business owners that have demonstrated excellent customer communications and conflict management during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The moderator, Nora Burns, will interview each business owner so he or she can share best practices and real-life scenarios. The panel discussion is open to all Fort Collins businesses that may be experiencing increased issues with customer compliance and general conflict due to the new public health orders in response to COVID-19. Participants are encouraged to listen and ask questions during the discussion.

Fort Collins businesses will have access to the recorded panel discussion to view at a later time. Additionally, business leaders will also have access to a series of Front-Line Micro Training Videos, which will be 4-10 minutes each. These micro-learning videos can be used to train customer-facing staff through situations caused by face covering mandates and other special modifications that have been implemented. The live webinar and videos will be available in Spanish.
