Fort Collins Police Investigate Suicide

On June 8 at approximately 10 p.m., Fort Collins police received information about potential suicide. A 25-year-old woman reportedly communicated with a friend that she was going to kill herself and intended on jumping in front of traffic on I-25. While the friend was contacting police, a Colorado State Patrol Trooper discovered the woman on the side of the road along the southbound lanes of I-25 between Prospect and Harmony Roads had been fatally struck by an unknown vehicle.
The name of the decedent and the official manner and cause of death will be released by the Larimer County Coroner.
The driver of the vehicle did not stop and may not have realized he/she hit the suicidal woman.
Fort Collins Police Investigators are asking for the public's help to locate and identify the vehicle and driver involved.
