Art in Public Places Program seeks artists for Transformer Cabinet Mural Project

The City of Fort Collins, Colorado, Art in Public Places Program is seeking local artists/teams, as well as local non-profit organizations, to work with the Transformer Cabinet Mural Project team to develop and paint murals on electrical transformer cabinets around Fort Collins. The murals are intended to help mitigate graffiti, as well as add art to the community.

Artists/teams residing, owning a business, or having a current studio space within the Fort Collins Growth Management Area are eligible. Artists will be selected by the project team upon review of submission materials.

Additionally, individuals or teams from non-profit organizations located within the City of Fort Collins growth management area are eligible. Interested organizations shall submit a preliminary mural design concept for review by the project team.

Submissions must be received or hand-delivered by 5 p.m. on February 7, 2013. Artists may download the Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 7592 form from the City’s Art in Public Places website at Non-profit organizations can download the Request for Proposals (RFP) 7593 form from the same website.
