The City of Fort Collins is working to improve the ride quality on Prospect Road between Riverside Avenue and Timberline Road at the Union Pacific and Great Western railroad crossings. Work in this area began in late June and will resume on Tuesday, July 9. In an effort to minimize disruption to the traveling public, the City has worked to avoid lane drops during the morning and afternoon peak travel hours. Please note the construction schedule below:

• July 9-10, 4-7 a.m.: Prospect Road OPEN as construction crews work on concrete demolition.
• July 11-12, 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m.: Prospect Road lane closures as crews replace road curb and gutter
(westbound right travel lane closed; westbound left travel lane and eastbound lanes open).

The final asphalt paving adjacent to both sets of railroad tracks will be scheduled for late July. Local business access will remain open July 9-12. Alternate routes are suggested to avoid the construction zones on July 11 and 12 as northbound Timberline and westbound Prospect will be moderately congested.

Project dates are estimates based on favorable conditions; variances may occur due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

Thank you for your patience during this work. Please slow down and avoid distractions while travelling through the construction zone. For the latest information on road work throughout Fort Collins, visit
