Police seek assistance identifying burglary suspect

Released on Friday, February 21, 2020
Contact Information

Police need the community’s help identifying a burglary suspect who ransacked a home and stole a woman’s undergarments.

The female victim reported that she returned from work on the evening of Monday, February 10, 2020 to find that someone had entered her apartment during the day. The home, located in the 2000 block of Battlecreek Drive, had been ransacked and the victim’s underwear had been taken.

Officers are actively investigating but have not identified any suspects. Due to the potential sexual motivation associated with this crime, police are asking anyone with information about this or other unreported incidents to come forward.

“If an item of clothing goes missing, people usually just assume it was misplaced,” said Sgt. Heather Moore, who leads the Crimes Against Persons Unit. “However, if personal items disappear or things in your home seem out of place, we strongly encourage you to make a report. Your tip may be our best lead.”

Anyone with information about this incident or other similar incidents are asked to contact Officer RJ Tuttle at 970-416-2825 or dGlwc2xpbmVAZmNnb3YuY29t. People who wish to remain anonymous may also contact Crime Stoppers of Larimer County at 970-221-6868 or www.stopcriminals.org.
