FORT COLLINS, CO – The City of Fort Collins Planning Department will host a public meeting to review and discuss proposed updates to the Sign Code for a variety of sign types. This will be the last public meeting before the draft ordinance goes to the Planning and Zoning Board, Landmark Preservation Board, and City Council for recommendations and public adoption hearings.
The meeting will be held at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow St., Thursday, May 24. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; a brief presentation and orientation begins at 6 p.m.
The meeting will cover updates to general usability and organization of the Sign Code; tailored changes for signs within the Downtown District; electronic messaging centers (EMCs); new types of signs including interactive window signs, secondary roof signs, and projected light signs; and two new sign programs for billboard conversions and historic sign re-creations.
After the meeting, an online questionnaire will be available through June 30 for additional input.
