FORT COLLINS, CO – On Thursday, Nov. 30 the City will host a public meeting to gather feedback on the Downtown smoking ordinance. The meeting will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Eagle Room at the Northside Aztlan Community Center, 112 E. Willow St.
City Council will consider changes to the smoking ordinance on Tuesday, Dec. 5. City staff will present options for managing Downtown smoking during a presentation that will begin at 5:45 p.m. Feedback from the public meeting will be used to inform the Council’s decision.
The options include creating a petty offense category, lifting the ordinance from 10 p.m. from 5 a.m., and three options for designated areas including adding as many as eight designated smoking areas Downtown, allowing smoking in alleys, or keeping the ordinance as is.
